It’s one of the most unusual effects we’ve seen in watchmaking recently. In three different colours, it succeeds in recreating the visual effect of the inside of a glacier. How is this possible?

The first-ever sports diving watch for Montblanc, the Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date features a glacier pattern dial that gives the impression of looking into the depths of a glacier. This blue glacial pattern dial is inspired by the Mer de Glace - Sea of Ice - the main glacier of the Mont-Blanc Massif. Its texture was achieved using an almost-forgotten ancestral technique called gratté-boisé.

Inaugurated in November 2001, the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva houses one of the world’s most essential and prestigious horological collections. Two thousand five hundred watches, automata, precious objects and portrait miniatures on enamel invite the visitor on a fabulous voyage through five centuries of Genevan, Swiss and European horological art, and proposing a panoramic view of Patek Philippe’s production since 1839. 

To get the new year 2023 off to a good start, the Fine Watch Club met for a Happy Hours at Iconic Swiss Watch.

On Tuesday, 18 October 2022, the Fine Watch Club and some of its most privileged members had the honour of going behind the scenes of the famous F.P.Journe watchmaking factory (legally known as Montres Journe SA) based in Geneva.

Eagerly awaited each year by watchmaking professionals and enthusiasts, the 22nd awards ceremony of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, poetically hosted by Edouard Baer, was held on Thursday, 10 November in Geneva’s Théâtre du Léman.

On Tuesday, November 8th, the Fine Watch Club was invited by Maison Cartier to an exclusive event, the Cartier Rare Watches Exhibition. Dedicated to watchmaking expertise and iconic watches - this exhibition brought together enthusiasts and amateurs at the Cartier Boutique in Geneva.

ReLuxury, the first event dedicated to the re-commerce of luxury and collectible pieces, ended on a high note, with over 4’000 visitors over its four-day exhibition.

From the 4th to the 7th of November 2022 at the Hotel President in Geneva, ReLuxury welcomed visitors from all generations. Connoisseurs, jewellery enthusiasts, watch collectors and fashion lovers alike browsed the four thematic areas of the show: the Showroom, the Clinic, the Lab and the Talks.
